COMPANY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (CDP)

The Company Development Program is designed for early stage cleantech startups that are ready to engage with our accelerator community but not yet prepared for the in-depth and comprehensive commitment that Cleantech Open requires. The CDP provides mentoring support for those who are interested in receiving targeted, goal-oriented guidance. The program offers a dedicated match to one Cleantech Open mentor for the duration of the accelerator and discounted access to exclusive accelerator events.

Ironic Chemicals
Bronx, NY
Tech Category: Chemicals & Advanced Materials
Ironic Chemicals is developing an industrial biotech platform that produces high value chemicals from CO2 at 80% lower cost than conventional bioprocesses. We utilize environmentally toxic industrial by-products from mining and oil & gas industries as low to no cost feedstocks. For example, if all US copper mining waste was processed via our technology, we could generate $2B in revenue and reduce the risk of acid mine drainage while consuming 18,000 tons of CO2.

Manifold Robotics
Brooklyn, NY
Tech Category: Information and Communications Technologies
Despite recent advances in robotics and autonomy, data collection in aquatic environments is still being performed with unsophisticated means, usually requiring teams of people and boats.  Today, mobile robotics has the potential to make data collection in these environments more efficient, more economical, safer, and more thorough. Manifold Robotics develops small-scale autonomous boats to solve this problem, and allow clients to collect more data with fewer people and resources.

Social Solar
New York City, NY
Tech Category: Information & Communications Technologies
Social Solar envisions implementing a comprehensive user-focused engagement platform (online “solar matchmaker”) enabling Low-Moderate Income (LMI) residents of The Upper West side of New York City to gain access to solar energy through Community Shared Solar (CSS) energy providers. Energy is complicated and confusing.  We see a market matching problem in that potential solar customers are not being efficiently connected to solar developers. With so many choices, people are overwhelmed.
