Summary

The Temple Small Business Development Center and Cleantech Open have joined forces to support women and minority-owned clean energy businesses.

Cleantech Open is the world's oldest and largest cleantech startup accelerator program, with the mission to find, fund, and foster entrepreneurs with ideas to solve our greatest environmental and energy challenges. Like a mini MBA, the program includes workshops, expert mentoring, investor networking opportunities, industry connections, and a chance to compete regionally and nationally for cash prizes and in-kind services to launch your venture. Apply to the 2022 cohort by April 17, 2022.

The Temple Small Business Development Center (a nonprofit hosted by the Fox School of business that offers no-cost consulting and training to entrepreneurs) recently launched the Clean Energy Accelerator Program that provides funding (in the form of coverage of related expenses) and consulting to help support the development of SBIR/STTR applications for women and minority entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia metro region. The interest form can be found here.

Relevant companies in the Philadelphia Metro region can benefit from the combined support of these two organizations. That means access to resources in Philadelphia plus being part of the Cleantech Open community across the country. Funds can now be used to cover the program costs of Cleantech Open, removing that barrier for eligible businesses. Please find flyers for both programs attached below, one image and one link.
