Earned an MBA in Technology Commercialization in 2006 from Westminster College. Has 13 issued patents, authored several journal articles, and regularly speaks on innovation, start-ups, and CleanTech. In 2003, joined Ceramatec as an industrial post-doc, and eventually becoming a Program Manager for several unique R&D projects including Na-based batteries, and beneficial re-use of coal fly ash. In 2012, Dr. Boxley spun-out a technology from Ceramatec for the conversion of fly ash into a “green” kitty litter. This start-up, known as PURR-fect Solutions, successfully transitioned the fly ash technology from lab to market; however, the company closed in 2015. After leaving PURR-fect Solutions, joined another start-up company (as CEO of GlycoSurf, LLC) that develops novel bio-based surfactants for cosmetic and personal/care applications, and continues to run this exciting startup company today. In addition to these duties, has re-joined Ceramatec as the Director of Innovation working to further commercialize new technologies being developed at Ceramatec.
